Hi,
Yes, flagyl is awful. We always got it compounded
into a liquid. I draw a little linatone into the
syring before it to make a palatable chaser but my
ferrets always pawed at their mouth and acted like you
just tried to kill them.
Flagyl (metronidazole) definitely works, though, and
has helped our ferrets. Just have a treat or some
linatone ready afterward and definitely don't mix it
into food. All you do that way is spoil the food for
the ferret.
