Just come back from the vets and it doesn't look good... I got a printout of Tara's account which includes comments by my vet. During examination, my vet wrote "staring, bradycard returning to normocardia with activity, very flat, normal reflexes, watery eyes". After the x-ray, the comments were "huge mediastinal Nl and homogenous density of cranial and ventral lung fields, suspect lymphoma".
On the way home I couldn't help but cry. This sounds so much like what our Spike had. Tara is so young, only 3 1/2 and the way she's looking now, she'll need to be put to sleep very soon. It's just so sudden and I feel so sad for Willow that she is about to loose her best buddy. I have lost 4 ferrets in the last year, 3 were old, one middle aged. I have another sick elderly ferret. This is just too much to cope with right now... Tara can barely move, I put her in the toilet every few hours so she can pee but whenever she moves or gets moved, it seems to hurt her and she moans... Bloods were taken so hopefully we'll have results tomorrow or the day after...
