Gina,

I agree w/ everyone too. Just one thing, if he's "Spaced out" that's a sign and if it happens that he is spaced out more often than usuall I would have his glucose tested sooner rather than later this way you can adjust pred dose if needed.

One of my babies, Zorro was a rescue who's previous owner didn't take care of him. He used to have about 4 episodes a day (flat out, unresponsive). The more he had the longer it took for him to recover. He had surgery 3x and is now on pred and many feedings a day and (knock on wood)is doing great and hasn't had any probs for 1 1/2 yrs. On the other hand he is the first ferret I've had who actually had episodes. All of my others (I can't even count) either had surgery or were controlled w/ diet. (long story short)

He seems to be doing ok I feed him Duck soup 3 times at least per day. I come home everyday on my 1/2 hour lunch break to make sure he eats and has him pred dose. I have been reading about Insulinoma ferrets crashing and I am not sure what I should be looking for. Is it possible that Bob is in some kind of remission? He doesnt seem to be getting any worse. He gets a little spaced out once in a while. When he does I just give him some soup. He is a little over weight but he isnt having any kind of episodes that Ive heard about. I deffinately would freak if he had a seizure. Is that what will eventually happen ?
