I wish Puff didn't have these damn seizures. She thrashes and squeaks like ferrets do when they're startled and frightened. This happened for the first time this morning, the squeaking. The seizure went on for a long time, about 15 minutes. Yvonne was able to get a sugar solution into her near the tail end of the seizure. I know that we should wait until the seizure ends, but she was able to get some down into Puff and it seemed to help bring her out of the seizure, although it's probably our imagination.

When Puff goes into these things, Yvonne holds her tight in a blanket or a towel keeping her warm. Yvonne swears that she can tell if Puff is OK or not by the feel of her body temperature. I've felt it myself. When her sugar goes low her fur feels cooler.

I'm thinking I could do better doses than what we're doing. Also, thanks Sukie. My wife and I had no idea that Pred only lasts about 9 hours. We've been giving Puff does of both meds every 12 hours, which is why I think she crashes so much. It's always near the tail end of her dose. I am going to change her meds on Mon to Prednisolone, too, btw.

Thanks to everyone for the info and the views on things.
