Usually something in the 4 to 6 hour range, but ASK YOUR VET. If the vet suspects that there may also be insulinoma the vet will want to have the time be shorter AND will want to have a bit of sugar in the IV fluids they will be giving, BUT if the ferret also has certain severe GI problems the stomach might take a long time to empty. (We had one with severe IBD, for example, who had food in his stomach something like 8 hours after it was pulled so he had a reflux and aspiration hazard which luckily didn't happen.)
