Hello,
I have a 4 year old ferret named Hobbes who is sick. A week ago I noticed a lump on his right side over his ribs. I took him to a vet and had x-rays and scheduled surgery March 8. Atthat time he was eating and playing some. Now his appetitie has decreased and he sleeps most of the time, he also chomps his teeth. The vet didn't do any bloodwork on Hobbes and I'm wondering if surgery is the best thing for him. I am concerned that he is too weak to make it through a surgery. Any advise will be appreciated. I love him so much and can't bear to see him suffer.
