Wolfy-

we have had pred alone ( adn supplimental feedings
woirk on numerous ferrets for up to 2 years ( of
course increasing doses from .5 to 1.25 along the
way).

Meanwhile we have had surgery kids age 4 or so later
on pred go for 2 years after surgery .

in the long run we have seen no difference across the
board.. when the insulinoma was detected in ferret 4-5
years of age.

Currently we have 8 shelter ferrets ages 5 and up
(some post op , some just on treatment regimine) with
insulinoma.

On the other hand we lost several ferrets to
insulinoma when they went into shock post op....
