Hi Paty, the hormone injection to take your ferret out of oestrus is
Proligestone (Delvesteron .5 mg) as used in the UK. I believe it is same
one used on cats.
In the UK vets prefer animals out of heat before the spaying to reduce
the sudden hormone changes the op causes. She will not start bleeding as
ferrets are induced to ovulate by the mating process; the clear liquid
just indicates is ready to mate. You have at least 28 days before
oestrus will start to harm your ferret. Chris.
