Subject: Metamucil or Fiber in diet?
Message-ID: <5692544.1110219905882.JavaMail.root@thallium.smartgroups.com>
When mixing Metamucil or other fiber into chicken gravy is it possible to add too much and cause an intestinal blockage? I noticed clumps left on the plates I use to serve the weekly Sunday treat of gravy to the babies. I also noticed some of them later cough as if trying to hack-up a fur ball. Could the fiber become tangled in a fur ball and make it worse (bigger)? No one has barfed but I was worried just the same. Any experience out there on this?
