Should ferrets be getting feline distemper vaccines, or is it more common for
veterinarians to use canine distemper vacs for fuzzies?
Feline distemper vaccines will do nothing to protect ferrets against
anything. As the moderator pointed out, ferrets do not get feline distemper (despite
their being websites out there that that claim that they do), and the feline
distemper vaccine is completely unneeded and could end up being harmful. They
need to be vaccinated against canine distemper.
