Hi Jill,
I know this is a bit late but I have just joined the group tonight because of looking
for help for my daughter's ferret, Noodle. I found Dr. William's email and phone
number if you still need it.

I do have a question about what your ferret's symptoms were. Noodle has been very
lethargic since Thursday night. We took him to the vet on Friday afternoon and she
said he had low glucose and told me to give him FerretVite and NutriCal. By Sunday
he looked near death. He wasn't even able to lift his head. I took him to the vet
again (seeing a different doctor) Sunday afternoon and she took his blood and found
he did not have low glucose but his blood count was a little high and he was
dehydrated. She also took x-rays and they showed that his small intestine was near
collapsing due to the dehydration. He is on sucralfate, amoxicillin, metronidazole,
pepto-bismol and pedialyte. He is urinating and defacating, although not as much
defacating due to the lack of food he is taking in. Another person in this group
mentioned that maybe Noodle has DIM but he does not have the swollen lymph
nodes nor does he seem to be in pain.....at the present time. I was wondering if
your ferret showed all of the symptoms or if he just had some of them. Any help
you can give me with this will be greatly appreciated. We're all very upset with how
sick Noodle is. He is only 10 months old. I'm very happy for you that your ferret
survived the mystery disease. We hope that ours survives whatever he has too.
Have a great night........Debbie
