This did just happen suddenly on Thursday night. His temperature was
normal when he was at the vet on Friday and Sunday. The vet said that
there was just a slight elevation in the blood count. He has no enlarged
nodes.......I checked him out today. I do not have the actual numbers
from the test results but could call the vet tomorrow to find them out.
How would one find out if there is a perforation from an ingested foreign
body? My husband has had a cold and my daughter wasn't feeling well a
little while ago but it never turned into the flu or anything like that -
she was just nauseous and generally didn't feel well. We do have a dog,
a cat and 3 rats....none of which are sick. I do clean his litter box
with Tilex Mildew cleaner and rinse and dry the box before putting it
back into his cage. I also use that on the bottom of his cage and then
cover the bottom with newspaper making sure there is only the black ink
of the newspaper showing....no colored ink as my daughter, who works in a
pet store, told me could make him very sick. I use packing tape to seal
the newspapers down so that he cannot get underneath them. I did change
his litter about 3 weeks ago. I mix something called Litter Pearls along
with the usual Aspen pellets in his litter box and that seemed to control
the odor pretty well. The doctor had asked if we ever saw him ingesting
the Pearls, but we never did. He just runs down to the litter box, does
his business and goes back upstairs......he never stays down in the
litter area. I hope that maybe something in this information I've given
will shed some light on what's going on with Noodle.........ANY help is
greatly appreciated.............Debbie
