Did you just look on the FHL site or did you link to the Archives page by clicking on the bold print on the FHL homepage? At times the first is useful but the second is typically a vast improvement and it covers posts not only from our years in Smartgroups but also from back during the years when we had the page at Yahoogroups (an address which someone else has recently acquired), so I recommend using the second which is where I found the posts below for you.
Check to see if your ferret is among the very few with an adverse skin reaction (There are some rare mentions of this on lists but they are very rare.) to see if there really was a problem with the med itself or just your ferret not liking something applied.
