DO NOT stop the pred. It should not be the cause of the hind end weakness. Hind end weakness is a pretty general symptom in any ferret that is ill for any reason, but insulinoma, or more accurately, the low glucose it causes, is a good reason.

Pred is helping to keep her blood glucose stable, so do not stop it. Besides, stopping pred cold turkey is not the way you do it. She would have to be weaned down if it had to be stopped.

Perhaps she's not getting a large enough dose. Do you know the amount she's getting in mg (not cc's or ml's of liquid but mg of the actual drug) and how often are you giving it?
