concern is that when we first got him at the pet store he had diarrhea but
we were told that it was probably just from stress and not to worry about
it. It's now been two weeks and he has yet to have a normal stool though it
has firmed up a little, only to go back, and I'm also noticing that there's
blood in it off and on.

Dear Crystal,

PLEASE take the ferret to a vet- there is a high probability the ferret has
giardia or coccidia. Both conditions need medical care and treatment
. Left untended they can cause health problems or even death.

ANy blood or mucous in a young ferrets stool is an indication of parasitic
infection ...

Sending good thoughts your way.
