I would emphasize a diet chage if he thinks it is IBD over pred at this
point but if he doesn't I would at least do both. My guess is he is doing a
treatment trial to see if this could be it. Pred is great but at some point
sometimes doesn't work as well. Many time this is allergy related and a
diet change is all you need. Discuss this with the vet too. All the best
