If Noodle isn't feeling well I would keep her on the duck soup, as it won't=
harm her and you want to make sure she is getting enough nutrition. There =
has been some discussion on the FML from Bob Church about the harm done to =
teeth by kibble. Of course soup can also be harmful if you never brush teet=
h (Bob Church recommends a natural meat diet). So anyway, I wouldn't worry =
too much if Noodle needs to stay on soup for a while longer. Robin gave som=
e excellent advice on how to switch back to kibble gradually. I use mushed =
up kibble in my duck soup recipe so that the taste is not completely differ=
ent from what they regularly eat. =

After reading the Wysong website about the 2 ferret diets, archetypal-1 and=
archetypal-2, I decided to try the archetypal-1. I noticed that the formul=
a sold for cats is the same as the ferret archetypal-2 and also that the 2 =
version only had 35% protein which is comparable to cat food. Anyway, I got=
the archetypal-1 and I was somewhat disappointed. My ferrets won't touch m=
eat and so they wouldn't touch this stuff either. It came in a very small b=
ag, was freeze dried, and very hard to reconstitute. I tried everything inc=
luding heating it in water, letting it soak overnight, etc. One of my cats =
liked it, but the ferrets were repulsed by its strong odor (it has a very d=
istinctive odor). So in the end, I just use it blended up in small amounts =
in my duck soup recipe after being soaked overnight (I use the soaking wate=
r as the liquid in my soup, so as not to loose any nutrients). Even though =
I like the concept and the ingredients, I would not recommend this food to =
anyone whose ferrets did not eat meat.

ty experience)
