Subject: Yeast infection in the ears

One of my ferrets has a re-occurring yeast infection in her ears. (We do know that yeast that is the source of the infection due to multiple confirmations by her vet.)
Our problem is we have not come up with anything that has really cleared it up. We are cautious with most of the ear products because they contain gentamicin, but we have used a product called Mal Otic. We had tried another product called Tresaderm, which does not contain gentamicin, but it seemed to really bother her.
Our vet had also considered an oral medication, Ketoconazole, but it would be very difficult to dose in ferrets.
Can someone suggest something else we could try? She is definitely not comfortable and we want to get it cleared up once and for all.
Thank you
Christine
