Subject: ECE and growth on snout
Message-ID: <6437401.1112337231894.JavaMail.root@thallium.smartgroups.com>
Hello, I have a 3 year old ferret who is exhibiting signs of ECE. (We just brought home a new kit, and am sure it is the carrier).
I brought him to the vet and we also noticed a bump growth on his snout , between the nose and eye. It is as soft as the front tip of a finger.
When the vet opened his mouth, checking him gums we noticed a red mass (tear drop shaped) hanging from the top of his gums. Has anyone else seen this? Is it related to the bump (eg sinus infection, abcess, tumour growth).
I am treating him for ECE now, he wont eat anything, and won't swallow the liquid antibiotic given for secondary infections. Can anyone help me out in this situation?
Thank you,
Chewy's Daddy
