For finding a veterinary ophthalmologist to visit or for your vet to consul=
t with:
http://www.acvo.com/
Contact ACVO
American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists =99
PO Box 1311
Meridian, Idaho 83680
Ph: (208) 466-7624
Fx: (208) 466-7693
and here is their search page:
http://www.acvo.org/locate.htm
You CAN put in ONLY the state abbreviation and find the vets without their =
last names but with practise names, practise location, and phone numbers. =
For instance I found that currently there are three in two neighboring coun=
ties to us which is a far cry from the hours we used to have to drive for H=
aleakala who came to us after a breeding male bit through one of her cornea=
s (Yes, the vet opthalmologist was able to save her eye which still was abl=
e to see some light and shadow.)
I will now seek out the European Union association and the Canadian one. I=
haven't encountered an Australian or any Asian ones in the past but will l=
ook because they likely exist, and I don't know where you are located. If =
I fail and you need those locations, please, ask your vet, veterinary unive=
rsities, dog showing associations, etc. and use search engines.
