My apologies to the group and moderators. I made an error in my post---I meant
to say "distemper," not "parvo."

fuzzies got their first shots about a week before our Boo-Boo began
showing severe signs of ulcer (weight loss, bloody stools, etc.). We were supposed
to go back in 3 weeks after the new fuzzies got their shots to get another 'booster,'
but due to the mounting vet bills we couldn't afford to take them back that soon.
One financial nightmare after another followed, and now we're told that since we
waited that we have to "start over" with their parvo shots???

Can someone tell me if this is true and necessary?? Was the first shot rendered
useless because we couldn't go back after 3 weeks? We hate to think we have to put
them through that risk TWO more times. We wish things hadn't happened the way
they did, but they did, and now we're told by the receptionist at the vet's office that
we have to get the two younger ones their shots again, then AGAIN 3wks later.

We feel horrible and don't want to put them through it all again, so we would really
like to have more opinions on this before we go through with this.

Thanks in advance.

[Moderator's Note: Ferrets do NOT get Parvo. There is no reason to give them a
Parvo vax. There is no vax for ADV. Do you mean Canine Distemper vax?]
