I've heard that a number of veterinary surgeons are now saying that ferrets
and dogs
are being 'over' vaccinated with distemper shots and that they don't need to
be done
every year. My own vet only ever gives one distemper shot if a ferret is
over 12
weeks if they are younger they get the shots broken down into smaller doses.
Alas in the UK we don't have a licensed distemper vaccine for ferrets - at
one time
my ferrets were always given Kavak D and then they stopped manufacturing it
:-(
