I wonder, is there a difference between a negative ion cleaner and a
positive ion cleaner. I was told there was when I bought mine.
I have two Trion electronic air cleaners. A few monthes back I turned them
off, due to info reported on this list and fml. At that time my Buddy with
cardiomyopathy was having some major breathing issues. One cleaner is about
six feet from his sleeping area and the air flow was directed towards him. I
thought I was doing him a favor. In the past few monthes he has had very few
breathing problems. I just do not know if turning off the cleaners are a
factor, or just the fact we have his meds adjusted correctly. I'm not
willing to turn the cleaners back on to find out. I do smell ozone when they
are first turned on, and the air is definitly fresher smelling. They collect
lots of *stuff* too. With 4 parrots, two dogs, two cats, and 4 ferrets, we
have lots of *stuff*. I'll be getting hepa air filters soon, but am courious
about the neg/positive issue.
