Perhaps you have one of the few that are good. In the testing that CU did the bad ones were sometimes incredibly bad, though. What might be even more important for some people in relation to the amount of ozone present is that in a large and rather leaky house (the kind which can cost a small fortune to heat or cool) the venting is probably excellent so that will keep ozone levels down. In a home built more recently, or more strictly, or with tighter fitting components and more insulation the venting is going to be very low and in those conditions the amount of ozone can build up despite being active because it isn't venting.

Not running one all the time would also make a difference.

Given how sensitive ferret lungs can be I am looking forward to learning a great deal more in the future when they do their larger article, and I wonder, since ozone is such an active molecule (if memory serves) if there are more worrisome interactions like the one that creates formaldahyde.

The several page article in May's issue is definitely a worthwhile read.
