Someone privately asked about studies of tobacco smoke and ferrets. I replied:

Studies of the effects of tobacco smoke on ferrets? Oh, gosh, just go to Pubmed or its Hubmed version and you will find a LOT. There are also others which can be found with a Google search, and I am such some will come up when looking in places like NIMH, CDC, USDA, etc. There are ones listed in the FML Archives, too, because I know that both Bob Church and I have referred to such studies in the past.

I suspect that breaking down the components of cigarette smoke, from nicotene, to formaldehyde, to... and searching on those could also be useful for finding more.
