Hi Darla,

I haven't found it to happen often, but I have had a couple of ferrets that had to have florinef and/or pred following having only one adrenal gland out, just while their body adjusted. A shot of PercortenV might be easiest for you, as caretaker. You might check with your little one's vet to see about having her electrolytes checked.

Also, it can take 6 weeks or more before the hormones causing the hairloss flushes out of their systems. Following adrenal surgery, hair regrowth can occur within days or they may not regrow their coat until the next seasonal change, or longer depending on how long their coat was gone before the surgery. It will tyically re-grow in the reverse pattern it was lost. First hair gone will be last hair back.
