Someone from this list emailed me to be careful of some of the liquid
melantonins because they can taste very ucky to some ferrets. Another person
from this list also emailed me to let me know that indeed, some formulas are made
much sweeter and from diff bases that ferrets like. She gave me info about
one that she found which all her ferrets like very much.
Being that nobody sells liquid form here in town and that I must get it
offline such as at one of the two places Dr Murray offered, does anyone have an
experience with diff liquids not agreeing with their ferrets?
I see that the GNC form is cherry vanilla flavored. Does that go well
with ferrets? I don't know what they like. lol. The Vitamin shop is more like
rasberry vanilla. I know, i know it's only a few bucks, but I just didn't
want to fool with too much trial and error.

[Moderator's Note; our experience with compounded medicines (as with types of
meat baby foods) is that ferrets' taste vary among them. In the meds there were
some ferrets who loved a certain taste while others did not. Our Hubble is incredibly
tolerant of many foods and flavors but hates one which most ferrets here have
historically liked: cooked turkey liver. So, such recommendations may help, or you
may still find yourself needing to mask the flavor.]
