Hi.

The results of the culture of Meeka's abscess came back as Bacteroids (not Actinomyces as suspected because of the "sulfur granules" appearance). She's taken to Amoxicillin like a duck to water - just loves it and will actually sit up like a gopher to get it.

Can anybody shed some light on this with ferrets? Does it tend to recur like Actinomyces does? Is Amoxicillin the best antibiotic for treating it? My vet specialist seems to think so and I hope so because it's so easy to give to her.

Thanks,
Brandy
