I wanted to give everyone an update on Reno's condition and let you know
what the pathology report said.
He is almost 2 weeks Post-Op and eat his first solid food on his own this
morning at 5:32AM PT. He has been on liquids since his surgery that we have
continue to add AD to. He is eating 40cc's of chicken broth & AD (15cc's broth
to 25cc's AD) every 4 hours. He has not vomited since the day before his
surgery, but after surgery he gurgled for about 5 days after eating. The vet and
us felt it might be due to an irritated trachea.
His stitches come out next Tuesday evening here at home. I'm sure glad I
learned how to remove stitches. :-D
The vet is sending the resules to me in snail mail, but the jest of what
they found was that Reno does have Ulcerative colitis and possible Helicobacter.
They are running another test (stain test) for determine if he actually has
Helicobacter. So we should know something next week.
