My first ferret, Sidney, had cardiomyopathy from the time I adopted her, and I figured on just giving her a comfortable home for her remaining weeks. "Weeks" turned into nearly two-and-a-half years, most of which were spent with her playing and climbing and mischief-making almost like any other ferret. It was lymphoma, not the cardiomyopathy, that ended her life.
Sidney got Lasix, Enacard, and later on Co-Q10, and a lot of baby food. By no means does this indicate how long Harry will live, but just that "cardio" ferrets vary widely.

<snip> Then the articles on cardiomyopathy were saying by the time it is detectable it is advanced, and they don't live long. I was hoping somebody out there could encourage me. I already give Harry vit. C and CQ10, and occasionally vit. E. <snip>
