Regarding adrenal surgery. My vet has done hundreds, and is very experience=
d. In fact, one of my boys is scheduled in two weeks .... one of the things=
she does is schedule the surgery for three weeks later, and she pre-treats=
with lupron .... she has a terrific rate of success (for many reasons) and=
I go with her recommendations.

As to surgery vs. lupron - I want the tumor out, and biopsied, so I know wh=
at we are dealing with. I figure if it is "just" hyperplasia, it keeps it f=
rom becoming cancerous, and if it is early cancer, surgery may get it all .=
.. I adopted an 11 month old male who had two adrenal tumors - one was canc=
erous. He lived another five years .... like most of life, it is a gamble. =
If it is an inoperable cancer, (as one of mine was last year), then there i=
s always lupron and medical management ... just my opinion.
