If you give healthy ferrets melatonin implants will this mask adrenal
disease if they have it.
If there is a reason why this is a BAD idea, please let me know. So far I
haven't found one, but I need to know if this is going to cause a problem.
In HEALTHY FERRETS are there drawbacks (besides expense) to trying this
out to see if it could be a preventative.
I thought that ferrets got adrenal from indirectly getting to little
melatonin, during the summer (more light), and their hormones are
triggered by the low melatonin, and then their adrenal glands become
overstimulated. In this case, would not supplementing them with melatonin
be an effective preventative.
BUT if it hides adrenal disease, I do not want to continue it.
Please advise!!!
