Yes, melatonin would only allieviate symptoms after the adrenal glands are
already overstimulated. But before it came to that point, would not the
melatonin prevent that overstimulation? That was my question.I was
wondering, though, how will I test for adrenal disease yearly/twice yearly
if they are on melatonin, and if it will mask the adrenal disease if they
DO get it. Is there a way to screen a ferret for adrenal?
Melatonin cannot reverse any cancer/damage done to the adrenal glands. But
it has been theorized that the supplement of melatonin BEFORE they are
damaged, can prevent it.
