I can answer that one .... I started my five boys on melatonin in December =
of 2003. At that time, Bailey was already scheduled for adrenal surgery. We=
decided to wait a bit, and his fur grew back dramatically - thick, lush, n=
ice fat tail ... we drew a Tennessee panel a few months later, and it came =
back totally negative. So I continued to have them implanted every 3 months=
. All was well, until last month - I noticed a gap in the fur at the base o=
f his tail - took him in to the vet, who drew another Tennessee panel - cam=
e back very positive. So he is scheduled for surgery next week. So even wit=
h melatonin implanted, the Tennessee panel will be positive if the ferret i=
s adrenal ....
