Bloodwork, check for fungal infection? Esp Cryptococcous. Rule out kidney
disease, etc. If he doesn't respond to antibiotics there is either fungal
infection or a foreign body that is up in the center of the ulcer that goes
up into the nasal area and you get lots of nasal discharge or infection.
Was the ulcer evaluatied under anesthesia to see if anything might be there.
If all else fails take a biopsy since they can find fungal organisms or
even cancer so lots of choices for your vet depending on what was done so
far. Good Luck!
