I can certainly understand the attention - getting aspect of the hand feeding/gravy
feeding. The vet did instruct us to leave out the bones and eggshells, so that's why
I'm really worried. We don't have a meat grinder and can't afford one right now so
we wouldn't be able to grind that up effectively anyway. Plus, he licks around any
lump that happens to be in the gravy and leaves the lump behind... usually a tiny bit
of gristle (sp?).

The other problem, not sure if it's gravy related or not, is that he's still FAT. I can't
just sit him down in front of the bowl or he'll eat like a pig, no joke. Right now I
give him 3 very large spoonfulls of gravy, and he's a tubby. He acts like he's
starving sometimes and stretches his neck towards the bowl when I try to clean the
gravy off his chin. Actually, he cleans his own chin on a washcloth lol but he fights
for more food sometimes. Twice I've let him eat more because he was so
insistent.... and he at a LOT. So, I still hand-feed him to control the amount.

But I can always tell when he's done eating that gravy because he'll strech his neck
towards the washcloth when I pick it up... then he cleans off his chin and we're
done. But even when he still acts hungry and I stop feeding him he wont take kibble
from my hand, a bowl, a bag, or in, on or under anything in the cage. But I guess I
should just stop worrying about it so much, huh? I just don't want him getting sick
because of this.

Okay, first off, deep breath...

The gravy is NOT an all meat diet when made according to its instructions.
