If you use Pam Sessoms' pressure cooker method the
bones become soft enough to be liquified in a blender.
The eggshells definitely become nothing more than a
powder infused in the gravy. I seriously doubt either
could hurt a ferret.

highly recommend it and it has been endorsed by Bob

don't own a meat grinder either and some of our
weasels in the past hated chunks of anything in their
gravy and wanted it smooth. Pertwee and Lady Ayeka
really depended on the gravy to keep them going so we
made sure there were no chunks, bits of bone, etc...
