I've been making Bob's chicken gravy using the pressure cooker method and
get it really smooth by first choppiing it fine with a food processor, then,
after adding the rest of the ingredients to it in a bowl I put about two
cups at a time in the blender. It does a a great job. I pulverize the dry
eggshells first in a spice/coffee mill, then sift them through a fine
strainer and return the rest to the mill again or crush them in the mortar
and pestle.
I don't drink coffee so there's no taste from that in the mill.

If you don't have either appliance check out your local thrift stores. You
should find something serviceable. I found a Cuisinart processor at St.
Vinnie's for $2 and it works fine. Needed some cleaning and it's not all
there, but it has the steel blade.
