In the past, I had a Vet diagnose my ferret as having
IBD, and put him on Pred and a diet of only Turkey
baby food and Ferretone, for a couple of weeks until
his stools firmed up. Then she had me add in a turkey
based kibble. He definately liked the turkey BF
better than the kibble. Did I do harm to him, for his
main diet being mostly baby food?? Why would the vet
prescribe this diet for a # of weeks if there was not
enough nutrients in it?
