Subject: question about weaning off of prednisolone

I have a question concerning weaning Noodle off of prednisolone. The
doctor told me to give him 1 dose once a day for 5 days, 1 dose every
other day for 3 days and then 1 dose per day twice a week for 2 weeks.
On Thursday I started him on the one dose once a day (for the 5 days) but
the very next day (Friday) I messed up and gave him the usual 2 doses
he's been on for a while. I guess it was out of habit. Today he is back
to one dose for the day - my question is - do I start counting today as
day one again or can it be day three since the first one was on Thursday
(today is Saturday). I was thinking that I need to start today as day
one again (since having messed up and gave 2 yesterday) and make a very
conscious effort not to mess up by giving him the 2 doses again. Any
help with this will be appreciated. I want to do what's best for Noodle.
