That entirely depends on what he is able to tolerate.
One friend ended up feeding a lamb and rice kitten
food because the ferret could eat lamb but not chicken
or turkey. Another ended up with a ham baby food,
believe it or not, since the ferret in question could
tolerate little else but did fine with pork.

Obvioulsy you want to stray as little from a natural
ferret diet as possible but in the end you will do
whatever it takes to find a meat he can tolerate in a
form that provides adequate nutrition.

As always, work closely with your vet. I am not a vet
by any stretch of the imagination.

All the best,
Caity and the fantastic five
