It is possible to move a ferret to something with a low risk of reaction for the primary food, and then use things like jars of baby food and pre-existing kibble for the challenges. That keeps it easier. Start with low amounts on the challenges and then wait a half day to a day and try a larger amount. It's best to keep notes.
