Hi I am posting this for a friend of mine if you have any suggestions we
would appreciate the help. Our ferret knowledgable vet is just stumpped.

Timon is a 6 month old ferret. 3 weeks ago this coming friday he donated
blood to help save another ferrets life (which it did)
anyways last wednesday he developed a temp of 105. He has been on
antibiotics since then and has no change. Vet has given him several injections of
anti biotics and cortisone to help bring down the temperature. He is not
dehydrated but has no appetite, i am force feeding him and also giving him sub q
antibiotics along with oral antibiotics, Tonight he had a shot of amoxicillin IM
Earlier this evening, his temp rose to 107.9 I cooled him down in a cold
bath
His blood work as mentioned is coming i do however know his kidney and liver
panels were fine. My vet and I are baffled.
Original suspect was a blood borne infection due to donating blood, but that
should have cleared up with the antibiotics but it hasn't.

so his symptoms are just decreased appetite, lethargy and high temp
anyone have any ideas?
