I have seen this with a clostridia perf infection post vaccine. The patient
was in extreme pain which was hard to control and regardless of the
antibiotic, iv fluids and cortisone to get temp down nothing worked.

He is also the right age for the Mystery disease that is occuring. Look for
swelling anywhere on his body esp where he gets the injections. This is how
the clostridia showed up there. My case was a kitten and it was a first
vaccine. I don't know that any of this will help but just thought I would
throw it out there. Good Luck.
