Subject: Weakness and dizziness

I have an old ferret who is 7 1/2 years old and has had adrenal disease for=
about 2 1/2-3 years. She has been taking leuprolide for 2 1/2 years which=
has worked wonders and am certain extended her life greatly. I have had 4=
other ferrets, but none that have lived to this age. I'm not sure what's =
normal for an old ferret so I'm not sure if my ferret is just exhibiting ol=
d symptoms or sickly symptoms. For the last few months she seems to have b=
een getting dizzy spells which last for a day or so and then she gets back =
to "normal". Last night she walked around the room a couple times and then=
flopped on the floor as if she had no more energy. She got up and then pa=
wed at her mouth as if she had to throw up. I picked her up to calm her wh=
ich worked, but she squeaked a couple of times and then began to pant brief=
ly. She has since gotten a little better but still seems weak. Is this ju=
st signs of old age? I know her time with us is limited, but I don't want =
her to suffer if she doesn't have to. Does anybody have any insight on old=
ferrets?
