Yeah, it also depends on which adrenal - right or left (i.e. how
complicated the surgery is).

On average, I pay about $700 for the left and between $850 and $1,000
for the right. That usually includes any pre-op bloodworm and such.

I'm located in Maryland, if that helps. There is a very well known and
respected local vet that charges a FLAT rate of about $1,500 just for an
exploratory (and everything is called an exploratory until he gets
inside the ferret). Depending on what he finds, the fee could rise
substantially. A friend of mine took her ferret there and paid $2,400
to remove three tumors from the abdomen (no adrenal tumors though).
That's a lot of money and the ferret died the day after she picked him
up too.

Friends of mine in Ohio pay $275 for the same surgery.

I don't believe the area of the country has anything to do with the
cost. In this area alone it ranges from $250 to over $1000, depending
on what clinic you go to. On average, it's about $400 at my vet, but
there are factors that can make that go up or down a bit.
