Our original NC vet found that diazoxide did NOT work
more often than it did. He would add diazoxide to
prednisone if the pred alone wasn't doing enough and
the ferret was not a good surgical candidate. If the
ferret was strong enough to survive surgery then
surgery was the preferred treatment.
