Of course. No problem. The vet that came up with
this is semi-retired and now works a limited schedule
but may still be willing to consult with your vet. If
you vet would like that please write me off list and
I'll pass along the contact info for his office.

I can't disagree but.... Anaphylactic shock is pretty
rare and a case severe enough that it can't be treated
is rarer still. Also, distemper is a *slow* horrible
death. I wouldn't wish either on any ferret.
Every medical decision, whether for ourselves, our
loved ones, or our pets, is always a balance of
potential risk vs. potential benefit. Every time we
treat a ferret we run the risk something can go
horribly wrong. We can't blame ourselves if that
happens if we educated ourselves and made the best
informed decision possible. Knowing that, of course,
doesn't make it any easier if things go wrong.
