In answer to part of your post, I don't think giving Ferratone EVERY day is a good idea.
It can cause an overdose of Vitamin A (I believe that is the one). That is why most
people I've spoken to mix theirs 50/50 with olive oil. You can also try 50/50 of
sunflower seed oil/olive oil, maybe alternating the days to ensure that he's not getting
too much of the Vitamin portion but still getting the "treat" and the laxative/fur/skin
effects of the oil.
I don't know anything about the gagging. I'll leave that to others who might have seen
their ferrets experience the same thing.
