Hi,
I have a pet ferret that I recently discovered has adrenal disease. He has since had two lupron shots (3 weeks apart). His hair is starting to grow back. The problem is he does not want to use his hind legs very often. It seems to come and go, he was up last night walking around even running a bit but than today he started slithering again, pushing with just his front legs. It all started about two weeks ago when his left hind foot seem to give out. He kept falling over it. He would try to walk but his left hind leg would just collapse. We took him to the vet immediatly, the did ex-rays but found no broken or fractured bones. They did notice that his hind legs were swollen and that he was protein difficient. He has since been getting added protein into is daily diet. He has also been put on a anti-inflamatory medication to stop the swelling and pain. We still don't know the cause of it though. Why will he not walk on his hind legs? Please help!
